'Minecraft Yap Session'

3/5/2026

SO! Minecraft. You like minecraft? I like Minecraft.

Warning: Passionate geek talk ahead.

About six days ago now, I started a new Minecraft world on my favorite seed. (8068021791637254180) For context, back in 2024, I got into a similar Minecraft groove

with hopes of easing my mind. (I had some anxiety issues back then.) For a change, my first attempt at a world was actually pretty

good. The spawn location was generated really strangely in a way that intrigued me. It was this massive grassy mountain with a sprawling cave

system underneath it, complete with these weirdly majestic underground lakes.

Quick little photo gallery of the spawn area.

So I beat the game, built up a decent little base, started making plans to terraform the entire spawn into a gigantic wheat farm, and then promptly lost interest.

What it looked like.

Sooooooooooo, fast forward to now, and I'm in the mood to play Minecraft again. I was inspired to return after getting hooked on a Minecraft hardcore series by the

YouTuber Wildez while doomscrolling one night. I'm not typically into Minecraft YouTube content anymore, (especially after the DreamSMP, my lord) but something about

Wildez's content struck a chord with me. He uses redstone and mob farms to their fullest extent,

but still takes time to enjoy the game. I grew up on YouTubers like Stampylonghead and DanTDM, and I'm more of a "stop and smell the flowers" kind of gamer. Not a full-on

Animal Crossing enthusiast, but I still take care to try and enjoy the things I do to the fullest extent and not allow things like my skill level or other people's opinions get in the way of my enjoyment of things.

The Minecraft community (imo) really started to veer into the direction of prioritizing the meta instead of actually taking time to enjoy

things around 2021-2023, opting to play the game like a checklist rather than a survival sandbox. This kinda put a bad taste in my mouth with the game, to be

honest. That and Mojang's new direction with the game. But, I digress. Wildez perfectly encapsulates the creativity Minecraft can spawn with overpowered mob farms and redstone tech.

Honestly, it seems a bit silly now that I'm verbalizing it. Like some irrational distaste for convenience. But, in any case, Wildez's exploits was enough to convince me to

head right back to where my interest in videogames began: Minecraft.

Where I am right now...

So! Same seed, new agenda, new me, new... well, pretty much everything. I've been spending most of my time exploring the caves beneath spawn and terraforming the surface to

turn it into a little farming town. I've got a house, a steady supply of food, diamond armor, an enchanting table, and I'm starting to work on a trading hall! Let's start with...

My house! (Not .wad)

My house is the thing I'm most proud of in this world so far. It's a bit cramped and the storage is a mess, but! It looks nice. And I like it. I was inspired by a post I

found on Pinterest about 'Medieval Minecraft Houses' and decided to use calcite for the walls. I decided to create some stone brick elevation, topped off with some smooth stone slabs

and wooden logs at the corners. From there, I added some lanterns on fences to look like little street lamps, and some oak flooring.

Inside is mostly the same, only difference being the spruce doors and poorly managed chests. This main... I guess you could say 'lobby' area has two doors on each side, one leading to

the stairwell, the other leading to the porch.

Not that much to say here. Just a porch. The view isn't that great, but I like it. Maybe it will become more useful when I get an elytra.

This is a bit more intresting. I'm not entirely sure why, but, when it came time to build the stairwell, I knew Oak just wasn't going to cut it. Dark Oak, though. That did the trick.

In the center is a big ol' log used to hold the stairs up, with windows dotting the walls. A fence and a small indent sit where the stairs and floor meet, granting both safety and

easy access to the somewhat awkward architecture. Only two ways to go, down or up. We'll start with the basement because it's more... interesting, to be honest.

Behold, my crafting chamber! Truthfully, this thing kinda just... happened. It all sort of grew from a vague sense of 'I want a basement' and 'I need an enchanting room.' The rest of

this kinda appeared along with everything else. In the center of this room is where the actual crafting happens, with a checkard pattern of crafting tables and smithing

tables, which an anvil set in the center above it all. And above that, is a grindstone, with a lantern suspending beneath it. I wasn't too sure if it would look nice, but I think it worked

out. On the left is a little storage cubby with some chisled bookshelves for me to store enchanted and unenchanted books on either side, with three double chests lodged between them.

I mostly just keep my valuables in there, like ore, enderpearls, totems of undying, slimeballs, etc. It's pretty much just a dedicated workstation for when I need to replace and/or enchant

my armor and tools. Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaand when I feel like heading to the Nether. I'm not in much of a rush to beat the game, but there is a fortress with two blaze spawners right next

to the portal. Maybe if I can enchant all of my armor with decent stuff and get an infinity bow, I'll go ahead and make the ender eyes, but for now, I'm pretty focused on getting spawn

looking nice.

Anyway. Here's the bedroom. Nothing fancy, I know, but I don't have much use for it at this time. That's about it for my house. NOW! Outside!

Food. Animals. Farm. We're gonna go lightning round from here since it's 12:17 am and I am TIRED.

I'm separating the animal pens by species, or color, in the case of the sheep. I'm also dividing the crops into different 'circuits', or fields

with these convenient little wood and crafting table checkard patterns. I also got some chests to stuff the products into by the side.

Town hall. Pretty simple, but it gets the job done. Really, it's just a villager breeder, but I like the idea of just having a RTS-style town hall

that magically pops out villager instead of a... you know.

Aaaaaaaaaaand, finally, the work in progress 'trading hall.' I don't have all that much room on the surface, and I don't really want pillager or zombies

to have easy access to a bunch of villagers, SO! Hole in the ground. This actually cuts down into the giant cave system under

spawn, so I might continue to expand downward once I get the hall going proper. At the moment, I only have a single librarian down there, but that'll change

soon enough. I'm think about turning it into a little underground market or DND-like trading district, I dunno. I also gave each trading section it's own door,

so the villagers are free to roam about if they like. It honestly looks pretty cozy in there.

Anyway. That's where I'm at. There's a couple things I missed, but broad strokes, that's my world right now. I might make updates on it, I might not, who knows. If you read through this

whole thing, I thank you for giving my rambles about a kids game a moment of your time. This has been Hatteras1337, Entry #4, 'Minecraft Yap Session', over.
